An airport in Turkey was recently plunged into chaos after pilots reported an unidentified, illuminated object in the sky.
Flights at Gaziantep airport were suspended for about an hour as a precaution after the mysterious sighting.
It is known that the pilots noticed the unidentified object and reported the situation to the control tower.
Despite the object not appearing on radar, there was speculation that it could be an unauthorized drone, reports the DLY.
After thorough investigations by security units, it was concluded that the object seen by the pilots could have been a drone flying without permission.
Normal service resumed with planes once again allowed to take off and land.
While UFO enthusiasts took to social media to discuss the reported sighting.
“I swear I saw this at the San Francisco airport a few weeks ago,” one user wrote.
“I saw a strange bright object go over the hills (from the ocean) going east, on the north side of the airport and it just hovered there. I was on the highway, so I couldn’t get a good look at it, but I wondered what the hell it was. I also saw an object flying from Oakland to San Francisco,” he added.
“Contact will definitely happen before 2027,” said another.
