US President Donald Trump has called his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, a “dictator” in a scathing post on the social network Truth Social, sharply criticizing the Ukrainian president’s leadership and the way he has managed the war situation with Russia.

The American leader declared that Zelensky had done a “terrible job” and warned that he must act quickly to save his country, otherwise Ukraine may no longer exist in its current form.

“I love Ukraine, but Zelensky has done a terrible job, his country has been destroyed and millions of people have died in vain – And so it goes…” Trump wrote, stressing that the ongoing conflict has brought catastrophic consequences for the Ukrainian people.

“A dictator without an election, Zelenskyy better move quickly or there will be no room for him,” he added.

Trump also criticized the way Zelensky has influenced United States foreign policy, claiming that the Ukrainian president convinced Washington to spend $350 billion on a war that, according to him, “couldn’t be won.”

He described the Ukrainian leader as a “moderately successful comedian,” downplaying his abilities as a leader and questioning his role on the international stage.

These comments by the 78-year-old are expected to cause strong reactions, both in Ukraine and in the United States and in international circles, given the great support that the West has given to Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.

Otherwise, Trump has repeatedly stated that Zelensky has a low level of support in Ukraine, suggesting last night that he had only 4 percent.

In fact, the Ukrainian president’s approval rating is around 50 percent, similar to Trump’s in the US. /DLYnews/
